Enter the first element then use the copy button to duplicate the element.
Keep pressing the copy button for as many elements as needed.
Do I have to use the element auto numbered sequence?
No, but the auto prefix helps to easily identify elements (R… reservoir, K..Catchments, P…pipes & C…Channels) in the connectivity diagram and on
printouts.
Where can I obtain standard catchment settings for the different ground
types?
The template with standard settings is available on the catchment entry
form.
How does Hydrosim get access to standard pipe and channel sizes?
Pressing the lookup button next to the pipe or channel size on the Channel
& Pipe entry forms, brings a standard size list up for selection.
How can I get rid of the POP-UP help balloons on entry forms?
A help toggle (help on or help off) option is available from the File
menu.
Do I have to guess the annual rainfall in a selected area when creating a
project?
The Rainfall entry form has access to 50 years of statistics from the
weather bureau in the program. Select the SAWB button on the Rainfall entry form
and type in a part of the name of the area in your project. The area annual
rainfall statistics will be presented for selection.
What limits the number of elements in Hydrosim?
The license you purchase as well as the physical memory of your computer.
All simulations are carried out in memory with no real limitation.
How can I send my project to a colleague in electronic form or backup a
project?
On the Project screen, select the project with your mouse and press the
Save HSM5 Project button. The whole project will be condensed into a compact
single encoded file that can be imported into another HSM5 program or stored on
disk.
I have Hydrosim 4 – can I import the project into Hydrosim5.
Yes! Just use the Hydrosim4 *.HD4 file stored in the projects directory
and import it using the file->import HSM4 selection after creating the project
description headers in HSM5.
